Description
The Avon Wave Cushion™ is an accompanying seating product to its sister mattress. It has been developed using the very latest Combustion Modified Ether (CME) foam technology by utilising a wave type design, which helps to reduces negative shear and friction forces during natural movement. This high-quality product features a high-density foam base to avoid “bottoming”, whilst aiding transfer processes. This high to very high-risk static seating system provides exceptional comfort for the user, whilst offering peace of mind to carers.
Herida’s specialist design and use of multi-stretch material, enables the very best pressure redistribution picture for most patient groups.
Our UK manufactured, high frequency welded, vapour permeable and waterproof cushion covers will ensure all relevant compliance to even the strictest of infection control protocols.
The cover envelopes the final product, which is available as standard, alongside that of a none-slip base for maximum user and safety consideration. This very high-risk pressure reducing cushion offers alternative solutions to gel or in some instances alternating systems that can’t be tolerated due to complex clinical conditions.
The high density foam base and walls offer total stability during side transfer procedures, to alternative seating systems or that of assisting stand transfer.
